HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices:

Do you prepare or serve food in your workplace?  Do you know how to prevent the Phillips Institute NRT logothree types of food hazards?  What about high risk groups and high risk foods?

This course covers the basic food safety practices including personal hygiene and conduct required when working in a food service environment. It describes the most basic level of competence required by any person in any industry who directly handles food.

This unit of competency is now the minimum requirement of most employers with Class 1 Businesses who employ staff involved in handling food for children, the infirm or elderly, and includes knowledge considered critical for care workers in the health and aged care industries, especially in relation to infection control.

Workshops are held every two months at our Carnegie facility, or on site for organisational staff training.  Call us for next workshop date and to book.

Why not get started with the free pre-workshop online training?  Complete the online training, print off the certificate and bring to the workshop – you’re almost done!
